On October 13th, 2025, our Managing Partner, Penny Kontogeorgou, had the honour of participating in the inaugural event of the Hellenic Women in Privacy & Technology (HWiPT) network at the University of Piraeus. This pioneering initiative brings together a vibrant community of women professionals who are shaping the future of technology and privacy in Greece and beyond.

Penny was invited to take part in a Fireside Chat titled “How to Succeed as a Tech Professional”, where she shared personal insights and lessons from her 25-year journey at the intersection of law and technology. Drawing from her rich experience in e-Business, ICT Law, and Digital Transformation, Penny offered practical advice on navigating the evolving tech landscape with resilience, integrity, and vision.

“Empowering women in tech is not just about increasing representation. It’s about reshaping the very fabric of innovation—making it more ethical, inclusive, and human-centered,” Penny noted.

The event marked a significant milestone for the HWiPT network, founded by Sandy Tsakiridi, whose mission is to create a collaborative space for knowledge-sharing, mentorship, and empowerment. By fostering dialogue among women professionals in privacy, law, and tech, HWiPT is setting the foundation for a more inclusive and future-ready digital ecosystem.

ZK Law proudly supports initiatives that elevate women’s voices in technology and law, aligning with our values of empowerment, equality, and innovation. We extend our warmest congratulations to the HWiPT team and look forward to seeing this dynamic community grow and thrive.
