We are proud to share that Ioanna Zafeiriou, Senior Associate at ZK Law, recently participated in the 2nd Interdisciplinary Conference on Law and Informatics, held under the theme “Exploring the aspects of Artificial Intelligence: Cutting-edge technologies as a legislative challenge.” The event was co-organised by the Law Department of Democritus University of Thrace and the Department of Applied Informatics of the University of Macedonia, bringing together experts from across the legal and technological landscapes.
Ioanna presented her thesis titled “The Legal Framework for the Use of Virtual Voice Assistants in the Health Sector,” a timely and thought-provoking examination of how emerging technologies are reshaping the healthcare industry — and the legal safeguards that must evolve alongside them.
Her presentation addressed key issues at the intersection of AI, data protection, and health law.
At ZK Law, we are deeply committed to supporting our team’s academic and professional development, especially in areas that align with our core expertise in Privacy & Data Protection, e-Health, and Digital Transformation.
We extend our heartfelt thanks to Ms. Eugenia Alexandropoulou, the University of Macedonia, the Master in Law and Informatics (ΔΠΜΣ ΔΙΚΑΙΟ ΚΑΙ ΠΛΗΡΟΦΟΡΙΚΗ), and NOMIKI BIBLIOTHIKI for hosting such a dynamic and important event.
Ioanna’s participation highlights ZK Law’s dedication to staying at the forefront of legal innovation — and our continued engagement with academic and policy-shaping communities.
